Adjacent to the Walt Disney Concert Hall, this project sought to bring a new sense of warmth and motion to an austere section of downtown L.A. Together with Studio Untld and Osvaldo Maiozzi, we were part of the architectural team that built the two-story restaurant that sits atop a bridge that spans Hope Street.
Warm and inviting ipe hardwood siding wraps up the building’s exterior, contrasting with the steel trellis, storefront, and cladding. The interior design of the restaurant features an expansive open kitchen, that connects the indoor seating which seamlessly moves outdoors to the patio seating.
